Sky Song MKAL 2026

Sky Song is the new Mystery Knit Along by designer Lisa K. Ross and is a true symphony of stitches, colours and delightful details.

The design is inspired by the sky, from soft morning hues and clear blue skies to the warm shades of a sunset. Songs inspired by the sky also play an important role. For example, the Lightning Strikes section was inspired by a lyric from Taylor Swift’s song Opalite.

Which colours and feelings does the sky evoke for you? Choose a palette inspired by a sunset, a stormy sky, the northern lights, clouds or a song that holds a special meaning for you.

A design that remains a surprise

In a Mystery Knit Along, the pattern is released in several instalments, known as clues. This means that you will not know exactly what the finished design will look like beforehand. As you knit, a beautiful wrap will gradually take shape.

Pattern pre-orders open on 12 August 2026. The first clue will be released on 2 September 2026.

Seven designs, one type of yarn kit

Sky Song uses the same yarn quantities as Lisa K. Ross’s six previous mystery wraps. With a suitable yarn kit, you can therefore choose from no fewer than seven different designs.

You can join the new and completely mysterious Sky Song MKAL, or choose one of the patterns from a previous year. This also makes the kit a great option for knitters who prefer to see the finished design before they begin.
